Developed by Rockstar this game has raised the bar for the entire gaming industry... Seeing that car explode on the Callahan Bridge (the first scene of the game) just indicates how good this game is! GTA 3 is set in Liberty City. Tommy Vercetti is involved with Catalina, a woman who he is supposed to rob a bank with. The bank robbing is successful and just as it looks like everything is going to work out. BOOM Catalina shoots you, you are betrayed and left for dead. After breaking out of the police paddy wagon. Your seeking revenge, but in the process you wind up involved with mob bosses, street gangs and crooked cops. You have to rob, steal and kill just to stay alive. There are many people who want to get a piece of the newest bad-boy in town. Some include Luigi, strip club owner, Toni, A mafia man and the don Leone Salvatore. There are three cities to explore including Liberty, Staunton and Shore side Vale. The gameplay in GTA 3 is simply superb! Not only are there over 40 action packed missions to complete. There are the possibilities of hijacking taxi’s, ambulances and police cars. The missions are in-depth and very fun to do. For example Joey Leone has stirred up bad-blood with the Forelli’s. After Joey kills one of the Forelli’s the other get suspious, you have to pick up the car (complete with dead body in the trunk) to the crusher to destroy the evidence. But it isn’t easy with both surviving Forelli’s trying to ram you off the road! The mission is funnily titled “Dead Skunk in the Trunk” The good thing about GTA 3 is there are multiple stories going at once and all of them intertwine throughout the game. The storyline is like no other! In-depth, gripping and stunning. Not only are you involved with various mobsters, you can also do phone missions for petty street gangs. There is drag racing levels, assignation mission and many more! The great thing about GTA 3 is the freedom, the freedom to do whatever you like. The freedom to climb a tall building and pop some heads with a sniper. The freedom to go crazy and have the army chase you around the city! The graphics are really well done. All the cars look very polished, especially the sports cars i.e. Banshee, Cheetah. The attention to details is also quite good with multiple different pedestrians walking around in every town. Pros - Great Graphics - Excellent Gameplay - Superb Storyline - Freedom - Good FMV’s Cons - No online multiplayer - Needs a few more fast cars (I can’t find any thing wrong with it so im being picky!)
