Game Name : Grand Theft Auto Vice City System : PC - Windows Date Added : 2003-10-18 22:13:31 Written By : jgh50 GTA Vice City is like the prequel to GTA 3. It is in the same style as all the other Grand Theft Autos. It is easily the best GTA out and will probably be one of the best games for quite awhile. Vice City follows the story of Tommy Vercetti. Having just made it back onto the streets of Liberty City after a long prison sentence in maximum security, Tommy Vercetti is sent to Vice City by his old boss, Sonny Forelli. They were understandably nervous about his re-appearance in Liberty City, so a trip down south seemed like a good idea. But all does not go smoothly upon his arrival in the glamorous, hedonistic metropolis of Vice City. He's set up and is left with no money and no merchandise. Sonny wants his money back, but the biker gangs, Cuban gangsters, and corrupt politicians stand in his way. Most of Vice City seems to want Tommy dead. His only answer is to fight back and take over the city himself. As the game progresses you will soon become a tycoon and you will earn the money to buy Strip Clubs, Night Clubs, Mansions, Hotels and even an Ice Cream factory and many more. The game play in Vice City is completely amazing. As soon as the game starts you are in a mission. The missions vary from taking someone to a party to stealing a tank for a private collector. As you start the game you will get money for every mission you do. At first you only get small amounts of money but as you become better known with the mobster the more money you get. Also included in Vice are the abilities to fly choppers and ride bikes. There are many more weapons in Vice than GTA 3. There are also multiple models of each gun. Some of the weapons include a shotgun, machine gun, handgun, grenades and the old trusty chainsaw and Brass Knuckles. There are heaps of things to do in vice. You can illegally drive people around in a taxi, take people to a hospital in an ambulance, catch baddies in a cop car, street race around vice city, collect certain types of cars for the garages, and rob stores the list goes on! There are many other things to do as well. Some of the trademark Vice things are finding the 100 hidden packages scattered around vice, jump 26 unique jumps and go nuts in over 20 rampages. The graphics are sensational. The attention to detail is really well done. For example there are about 30 different pedestrians (multiplied many times of course) that walk around vice. Each building has its own unique look. Many look different from air aswell. The cars look amazing, although there not the top of the range porches or jaguars they are still excellently modelled. This games one of my very favourites and its one of the small group of games that I have been so wrapped in that I’ve tried to get 100 % on the game. I like riding the bikes in Vice because it’s easier to manoeuvre them and they are just plain fun riding! Pros: - Great Graphics - A extremely good storyline - Freedom to do pretty much whatever you like - Many, Many Unique Characters - The radio really makes you think your back in the 70’s - The various gangs and mafia’s are really cool - The wide array of weapons is excellent - All the cars to choose from is another great part of the game Cons: -I would have liked to see a few more properties with missions (but really it’s a great game and I can’t find any thing to complain about it!) - A multiplayer mode would have been really good Title: Grand Theft Auto Vice City Game Type: Driving, Shoot Em Up Content: Rating MA for Mature Audiences Developer: Rock star Publisher: Rock star If you like this game try: GTA 3, Midtown Madness 1, 2, 3, Driver 1 and 2 |
