Game Name : Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy System : Playstation 2 Date Added : 2003-10-03 11:48:26 Written By : Probed Out The plot of Jak & Daxter is something very original and entertaining. It is easy for even an adult to get caught up in the natics of the silent giant, Jak, and the loud mouth small fry, Daxter. Jak provides the gameplay to this story, while Daxter providesthe entertainment with his cocky comments. The story takes place when Daxter is turned into a little marsupial creature, and he & Jak go looking for a couple of scientists to help turn Daxter back into normal. But the plot thickens as the mystical mages are being kidnapped and it is up to Jak & Daxter to save them. This may only be a single player game, but if your a fan of jumping around and interesting noises, I definately recommend this game. For young and for old, Jak & Daxter provides some good challenges. And with some intersting power-ups, who can go wrong? It took me about 3-4 weeks to finish, but my friend did it in a day. So the time this game takes to finish is unpredictable. Still if you get wrapped up in this game's storyline, there may not be another game you play until you finish J & D. The graphics are awesome for an adventure game. Everytime I started to play it I would think how great the graphics were. The sound/music is interesting and fits the game very well. The replay value of this gameis fairly poor, but then again you can always try and beat your old time. trial and error seems to be a big part of this game as well. I'm definately going to check out the game's sequel, Jak II, when it comes out. Gameplay: 9/10 Graphics: 9/10 Sound: 8/10 Storyline: 7/10 Replay Value: 6/10 Rating: 8/10 Pros: -Great gameplay -Interesting and original storyline -Fitting sounds/music -Innovative collectables -Great in-depth characters Cons: -Fairly average replay value -Might be difficult for young children -Some parts get a bit annoying Title: Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy Game Type: Adventure Players: 1 Content Rating: E for Everyone Developer: Naughty Dog Publisher: SCEA |
