News Article Title : The Sims Online gets Celebrity Sims Category : PC - Windows Date Added : 2002-12-07 23:18:34 AOL users may finally have something to be excited about: exclusive content in EA's The Sims Online. The developer is drawing on its connections with AOL to give early players some additional NPC's modeled after real-life celebrities, starting with a mysteriously necktie-less Avril Lavigne. A new celebrity will be revealed to testers every week until the full game is released. Beyonce Knowles, LL Cool J and Ludacris have also been confirmed as future Sims. AOL will also be offering exclusive footage of each Sim-celebrity in action, as well as a VIP virtual launch party for the release of The Sims Online. In addition to these perks, AOL users will also get the first two months of their subscription to the game free.
