News Article Title : E3 Developments Category : General Gaming Date Added : 2004-05-13 10:51:26 Written By : Probed Out (Matt) E3 has brought with it a number of big game announcements. Including announcements for Splinter Cell 3, Fullmetal Alchemist and Final Fantasy: Advent Children. Here is some of the ongoing developments of E3: -E3 brought a lot of new info in the gaming world, with the confirmation of Splinter Cell 3, which was expected. And as expected, many believe this will re-revolutionize the stealth genre. -Also confirmed is a new game from Square-Enix. Certainly not anything new, Fullmetal Alchemist is a Japanese classic, with its own TV show, games, etc. E3 marks the decision by Square-Enix to bring this branch to the United States. Cartoon Network has already purchased 53 episodes the Japanese hit, and Fullmetal Alchemist is the first game that will be released on the topic in America. The story follows two brothers who try and resurrect the dead, as to see their mother again. Unfortunately for the brothers, one loses his body, and has to take up residence in armour, while the other loses limbs, leaving behind a shadow of them, meaning he can still do the things normal people can do (I think). -Square –Enix was on a ball with Final Fantasy growing in news. Not only is Final Fantasy: Advent Children going to be a box office smash, but a Final Fantasy XI expansion, featuring another god, and some updates on Final Fantasy XII. With almost a team of character confirmed. We find the story takes off after Vaan decides he want to be a pirate, but gets more than he bargained for. -A lot of information has surfaced, but too much to write here, as a lot of screenshots, videos and information have been released. |
