Bonus rooms: Levels 3-1, 6-2, and 9-2 have bonus rooms that contain a large amount of power-ups. passwords: Go to continue, leave the name blank, then press Start. The password layout is a grid consisting of four columns and four rows. Refer to the columns and rows as numbered 1, 2, 3,and 4. 1,1 is the top-left corner; 1,4 is the top-right corner; 4,1 is the bottom-left corner; etc. Above the grid are three pictures: a potion, a heart, and an ax. Refer to P for Potion, H for Heart, and A for Axe. Take a large jump into the pit from the edge to land on an invisible platform. Move to the left side to reach a staircase that leads downward. Before going down, move all the way to the left to find some power-ups. Collect 99 hearts, a triple boomerang, and the best whip, then carefully return to the stairs to enter the next level.
